The photojournalistic approach to photography is especially suited to smaller, informal, or more contemporary style weddings because of the focus on the moment and the people involved. Though she prefers an unobstrusive approach to coverage, Shawn will step in as needed to help orchestrate a better picture, and has been known to liven up the party through her fun, bubbly personality. She will happily do formals, but stresses the importance of being relaxed & having fun- even when shooting the most traditional poses. Shawn is also a skilled portraitist, which complements her photojournalistic eye. Formal portraiture is a skill that takes time and talent to master; and Shawn excels at her intimate portraits of the bride and groom and really enjoys helping every bride feel and look their loveliest in their wedding day pictures. Every bride deserves to be treated like a princess on her big day, and Shawn will do everything she can to help alleviate stress throughout the day by being flexible and friendly, all while making certain everyone looks their best in pictures. There are many benefits to having two photographers, and Shawn has teamed up with Chyrel Fogarty of Island Time Studios to bring you the best wedding coverage possible. Having a second shooter is an insurance policy; the chances of something happening to both photographers and their equipment is neglibible. While Shawn is busy shooting the bride and groom, Chyrel can mingle with the guests, getting the best candids and making sure every guest feels like the important part of the day that they are. During our fun "formals", Chyrel will help lead participants or get a different, unique perspective. Two photographers mean twice as many chances of getting "the" shot. If having every detail of your wedding documented is important, then consider adding a second photographer to your collection!
